The Love Guru

I have peeps asking me how the heck am I still with the same guy for over 10 years. They want to know my secret on how I know he's my Mr Right, how I kept the fire burning and why are my friends single. They even call me The Love Guru. Obviously they must have been high on something cos' if I am indeed The Love Guru, I would either be happily married with a family of my own OR I have 32 boyfriends who love me more than I can love them.

Yes, I have been in a relationship for over 10 years - my longest by far. Why am I still not married? Well, I think deep down we both think that wretched marriage paper is going to give us more problems than happiness. There are expectations, pressure and major changes that will take place once both of us signed on that dotted line.

Yes I do want to settle down one day but in this country, there's no way it's making it easy for lovebirds like us. We both agree we want to start a family of our own, have 2 kids and raise them the way we would have liked to. Unfortunately we cannot get to that stage yet. Maybe will remain so for a long time.

So dear friends, do not ask me for relationship advice. You and your partner should create your own rules and abide by it. If there's a need to revise it, talk about it and change it accordingly. TYVM!
