Ugly Singaporeans

I've been in living in Singapore since the day I was born, my grandparents have been on this island when it's still part of Malaysia. I guess it's VERY safe to say I am a true blue Singaporean, yeah? Since young, my parents have encouraged me to be curious and accepting of other races, even foreigners. We used to live in Jurong East where I have neighbours who are Chinese, Malay, Indian and Sikhs. Most of them have kids around my age and every morning I will walk along my corridor to check if anyone's awake to entertain me. Usually their parents won't let them out so I will sit at the gate and talk to them. This paragraph is crucial in case silly trolls might use this post and STOMP me *LOL*

Tales of the dental woes (part 2)

Since young, I have been conscious of the gap between my two front teeth. I remembered when I was like eight years old, I asked the dentist in my school, almost daily, to make it disappear. My mum had to be called down not to discuss braces or anything like that, but more towards ganging up against me to keep the gap. I was thinking how terrible my school dentist was to not want me to have pretty set of pearly whites! My mum, on the other hand, kept telling me I have teeth like Madonna and Janet Jackson. Thanks mum but no. I still wanted my gap gone!

Tales of the dental woes (part 1)

Before you judge me, I have to explain that I am NOT afraid of dentists. I spent 6 years of my life hanging around the dentist office and prolly even tell myself that I will be a dentist some day. And since I've left school (where dental services are free), I've only seen the dentist for a routine check-up like twice. That's it!
